Louisiana LLC – Certificate of Authority

Foreign Louisiana Limited Liability Company

If you run an LLC located outside of Louisiana and you want to operate in Louisiana, you will register your LLC as a foreign Louisiana LLC. Once filed, the state returns a filed certificate of authority from the Louisiana Secretary of State, Corporations Division.

We can register your out of state LLC in Louisiana for $100 plus the state filing fee.

OR, you can do it yourself, and just sign up with us as your registered agent in Louisiana. All foreign Louisiana LLCs will need a registered agent. We offer this service for $49 a year.

Once you sign up for our Louisiana registered agent service, you will be logged into your client account online where you’ll find the Louisiana foreign LLC form you file with the Louisiana Secretary of State, Corporations Division.

After looking at the forms and resources we include in your client account, if you do not want to actually do the filing yourself, you can click on the add services tab in your online account, and have us do the filing for you for the state filing fees plus $100. We will also obtain the proper documents from the home state of your LLC organization that we need to correctly register your foreign LLC with the Louisiana Secretary of State.
